Organic sunflower seeds
Studies link the consumption of sunflower seeds to a number of health benefits, including lowering your risk of developing diseases like high blood pressure or heart disease. They also contain nutrients that can support your immune system and boost your energy levels.
Hemp hearts
Rich in high-quality protein and fatty acids hemp hearts belong with flax and chia in the super seeds category. Hemp hearts are also rich in magnesium.
Magnesium is involved in hundreds of biochemical reactions in your body. Experts say that many people in the U.S. aren’t eating enough foods with magnesium. Adults who get less than the recommended amount of magnesium are more likely to have elevated inflammation, which has been associated with major health conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, and certain cancers. Also, low magnesium appears to be a risk factor for osteoporosis.
Roasted hemp seed crumble
Whilst hulled hemp seed doesn’t contain a lot of fibre, the whole hemp seed does. Vasse Valley’s roasted range is one of the only hemp products that uses the whole seed and includes a whopping 35% fibre. That stuff that gets stuck in your teeth, is wonderful insoluble fibre. It acts a bit like an exfoliator for your insides.
Nutritional yeast
Nutritional yeast is a highly nutritious vegan food product with various potential health benefits. In the vegan world, it is particularly well known for its richness in B vitamins, particularly vitamin B12. Like hemp seed, nutritional yeast provides a complete protein source, meaning it contains all of the essential amino acids our body requires.
Salad Sprinkle directions
Add 1-2 tablespoons of Salad Sprinkle to any pre-made salad. Sprinkle on top as a garnish or mix through for even flavour. Can also be used to flavour seafood or chicken.
